The mission of the Nebraska Trumpet Ensemble is to provide unique, high-quality performances and educational outreach for the community.
The Nebraska Trumpet Ensemble is a unique and professional performing ensemble dedicated to arts education and community outreach, in addition to presenting concerts of the highest quality to the community.
Nebraska Trumpet Ensemble presents public concerts in Lincoln each year. The group also presents educational concerts in local elementary schools, bringing music education directly to students. The educational concerts allow students to experience the arts in a unique way. A variety of musical styles are performed, and the musicians discuss the pieces performed, the different types of trumpets and the sounds produced, and answer questions from the students. Many of the educational concerts are presented to schools with diverse and underserved populations who may not normally be able to experience a professional musical ensemble performance. The Nebraska Trumpet Ensemble also provides a coupon to every student at educational concerts allowing the student’s entire family to attend a Nebraska Trumpet Ensemble series concert free of charge.
The Nebraska Trumpet Ensemble is comprised of some of Nebraska’s finest professional trumpet players. Most of these musicians are also educators at the elementary, middle school, high school, or college level, and/or are private studio teachers.
The Nebraska Trumpet Ensemble’s next concert, entitled “Trumpetings,” will feature guest organist C. Richard Morris with some of Nebraska's finest trumpet players. It will be held Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Lincoln.
Your contribution to the Nebraska Trumpet Ensemble will help us continue to reach audiences of all ages through educational outreach and inspiring performances.
